he greets you by the gate

one laughs. one smiles. two soaring towards the skies. mid morning.


a glance beneath the surface. grab a saw. let me go. we needed glass for sun tea.

of these hours in the shade seeing as they work


where the hands reach


turning. that in turn we. all can eat



observing the manner in which tasks that must be completed are accomplished. with a passion. we will do it ms. kk



muscles taut. eyes fixed. they take turns.





only eat what is ripe. there is a reason for the appeal.

something in the chatter that day. a watermelon that arrives. lips and eyes.



it appears to me as a mood that oscillates in the current; what of this life i feel beneath my feet. some tack between my toes.

maybe at the end of this pier we will know what we are looking for
