we took the train

when july was here,

near the entrance,

and we sipped it for a moment;

for a glance

on a rainy morning

as if the other river still speaks to me here

i saw you when

you returned

from

another place

well

once

this

was

there

ridges

a single lectrilow

and the shift that reveals a pair

before you cross the sea,,

so they stepped to the lawn for a parting frame,,,

then the door opened
and more faces appeared

sketches beneath sketches in a larger pile of more

years before, he took me to a tree somewhere away from here;
when we returned, somewhere closer to now,
he told me that this tree is a tree.
i may never know exactly what he means

some span that vanishes

there is today,

and like a patch of moss

there are these lines that i think of..
vocally written lines,,
i think of them most days
